Pre-Award Support

SoE’s Pre-Award team provides information, tools and support to researchers across SoE seeking extramural funding. We help with RFP interpretation, budget development and submitting the proposal to RSP.

Please use our form to notify us of your intent to submit a grant proposal. After submission, your project will be assigned a research administrator to collaborate with you on the process and a Research Communications editor to review your proposal and offer helpful insight to improvement.

If your proposal is funded, our post-award team will work closely with RSP on the technical aspects of the grants. RSP approves all extramural submissions.

Please note: when submitting requests, there is no option to save and return. We recommend organizing your notes in a separate file before entering the data into the form.

To help you plan, the form will require you to enter the following information:

  • Working title
  • Principal Investigator (PI)
  • Co-PI(s), if any
  • SoE Department
  • Whether or not the proposal is at the invitation of the funder/client
  • Submission deadline
