Fiscal Year 2026 ends June 30, 2026. Please be aware of upcoming deadlines for purchase requisitions and expense reports as early as May 15, 2026. Refer to the timetable from the Division of Business Services for details.

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) Pathway Program is recruiting for the next cohort of scholars, with applications due May 11, 2026. The Pathway Program supports the mentorship and professional development of scholars conducting clinical and translational research at different stages of an academic career through a variety of programs. The University of Washington Department of Global Health E-Learning Program has launched an online course on Community-Based Participatory Research as a practical, equity-focused approach to designing research in true partnership with communities. Course dates run through Sept. 13, 2026, and applications to join are now open.

Proposal Development Workshops from Arizona State University are webinars on key milestones along the funding and proposal development journey. Starting with an understanding of the funding landscape, finding a solicitation, developing a proposal, and preparing a budget, each webinar offers a quick look at best practices. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) is starting strategic planning to help UW–Madison stay strong and resilient in a changing research environment and to address identified opportunities. The efforts include a proposed reorganization intended to better support the research and scholarly mission across campus and grow the research enterprise and creative expression across arts and humanities, biological sciences, physical sciences and social sciences. The William T. Grant Scholars Program supports promising early‑career researchers through five‑year research and mentoring plans aimed at addressing inequality or improving the use of research evidence. At UW–Madison, the School of Education will select one nominee through an internal competition; applications are due May 1. Investigators who have applied in previous years are strongly encouraged to apply again this year.
