Workday will go live on July 7, 2025. Financial reports will be re-examined after go-live to account for the new software system. Please be aware that there may be slight delays in reporting and some reports will likely look different than they have in the past.
The Post-Award team works with the PIs, program managers, and research staff to ensure current funds and expenditures are appropriately allocated and allowable while planning for the future. The team also works closely with RSP to submit final reviews that will, in turn, be sent to the sponsor. Additionally, we keep a detailed copy of the archive files in case of an audit by any multitude of sources.

How do I keep track of my project's finances?
Workday will go live on live in July 2025, and financial reports will be re-examined to account for the new software system. If you need any projections for potential plans, please reach out to us directly.
When my project ends, what happens to unspent funds?
Review your financial statements and inform the Post-Award team of any changes that need to be made a few months before the end date of your project. The cost accounting rules do not allow the spending of funds to obtain a zero balance; all funds must be spent per the funding agency regulations. Please notify the team if you are planning to ask for a no-cost extension, and they will work with you and the grants team to complete the necessary documents. If funds remain at the end of a project period and no appropriate charges can be transferred to the account, the funds must be returned to the funding agency.
