The Research Advisory Council serves as a governance body to the School of Education’s Office of Research and Scholarship and the Associate Dean for Research. The Council brings the perspectives and expertise of active researchers and scholars to inform strategic planning, policies, and initiatives that support and advance high‑quality, impactful research and scholarship within the School.
The Council provides advice and feedback on matters related to the research and scholarship environment, including research development, infrastructure and support services, funding strategies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and faculty research needs across career stages. The Council may also offer guidance on emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the School’s research mission. The Council operates in an advisory capacity and does not hold formal decision‑making authority.
Through regular engagement and open dialogue, the Council aims to strengthen communication between faculty scholars/researchers and research leadership, promote a supportive and inclusive research culture, and contribute to the continued growth and success of research and scholarship in the School of Education.
