News and Announcements

Creative Capital for Artists now offers a free, on-demand course to help arts scholars learn practical techniques to clearly and confidently articulate their creative practice — from artist statements and project descriptions to concise, compelling artist bios. Check out Representing Your Work: Grant Writing and Promoting Your Practice on their website to learn more and register.

If you have not already done so, please remember to complete your annual Outside Activities Report (OAR) covering activities undertaken in calendar year 2025 by April 30, 2026. State of Wisconsin and University policies require you to complete an OAR each year, even if you have no outside professional activities.

The Statistical Consulting Group is presenting an experimental design workshop on April 16, 2026 at 1 p.m. in the Discovery Building. This workshop will feature four common designs: completely randomized designs, complete randomized block designs (RCBD), RCBDs with subsampling, and split-plot designs. Specific examples that tie to real-world analyses across disciplines are emphasized. There will also be a statistical consulting demonstration. Register in advance through the Data Science Research Bazaar.

Edge for Scholars is sponsoring a free Research Grant Writing 101 workshop for early-career biomedical researchers on March 30. Learn more and register for this 6-week course led by Sarah Dobson online.
