On Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, many members of the Office of Research & Scholarship (ORS) team attended the 11th Annual Symposium for Research Administrators and came away with several timely updates for School of Education researchers.
As federal requirements and sponsor expectations continue to evolve, one theme stood out: don’t navigate these changes alone. Whether you’re reviewing a research agreement, considering a new international collaboration or preparing a proposal, early conversations with ORS, Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) and other campus partners can help avoid delays and keep projects moving forward.
Finally, while proposed changes to Uniform Guidance have been delayed until at least Dec. 11, 2026, researchers should continue to watch for updates that could affect the full grant lifecycle.
We’ll continue to share updates in these emails every other Friday to help you stay informed and focus on what matters most: advancing your research.
